What is myRock?
Financial guidance built specifically for divorce: before you agree to a settlement, while you're negotiating it, and for the years after, when the terms become your actual life.

How myRock started
Alison Pettine Wyshock had spent her career in financial planning when she went through her own divorce. She was still blindsided:
Unfamiliar terminology
Permanent decisions
No clear sense of what any of it meant for her future
"Her head, as she put it at the time, was in the clouds."
She got through it. Then the calls started — friends, then friends of friends, all facing the same decisions with far less information than she'd had. myRock came out of those conversations.
Josh Rothbard
CDFA®, AIF® | Co-founder
Josh Rothbard had spent his career in financial planning when a very close friend came to him in the middle of a divorce. He wanted to help, so he went all in:
Learned divorce financials
Networked with attorneys and therapists
Got involved
"He couldn't stand the idea of his friend going through it alone."
He did help. Then word got around: friends, then friends of friends, all looking for someone who understood the money side of divorce. Josh became the go-to, earned his CDFA®, and brought that same commitment to myRock.

Our “3 C” values
Competence
We work in the divorce financial space every day, alongside attorneys and mediators. Divorce finance has its own rules — coverture fractions, QDROs, filing-status changes, how Pennsylvania treats equitable distribution — and we know them.
Confidence
You should understand every number before you agree to it. We put your full financial picture on paper, model what each settlement option means over the next twenty years, and explain it in plain language until it's yours.
Commitment
The decree isn't the finish line. We stay on afterward — rebuilding the budget, repositioning investments, seeing the QDRO through — to help you navigate the financial transition and work toward your long term goals.
Common questions
What does a CDFA® do?
A Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA®) is a financial professional who has specialized training in the financial aspects of divorce. A CDFA® helps clients and their professional teams understand the short- and long-term financial implications of divorce decisions, including how assets and debts may be divided, the impact of taxes, retirement considerations, cash flow, and potential settlement options. At myRock, we use this knowledge to help translate complex financial information into something you can understand and use as you make decisions about your future.
How we work with you
We take the time to understand your unique circumstances, listen to your concerns, and help you understand the financial implications of the choices in front of you. Our role is not to tell you what decision to make. Instead, we provide education, analysis, and thoughtful guidance so you can make informed decisions with greater clarity and confidence. We work collaboratively with you and, when appropriate, alongside your attorney, mediator, or other trusted professionals to help ensure the financial side of your divorce is understood as part of the bigger picture.
How we work with your team
At myRock, we believe clients are best supported when the professionals around them work together toward a common goal.
It can involve attorneys, mediators, therapists, mortgage professionals, estate planning attorneys, accountants, and other trusted professionals, all helping with different pieces of the journey. At myRock, we believe those pieces are stronger when they work together. We collaborate with a client's professional team, when appropriate, to help bring the financial perspective into the conversation and ensure important financial considerations aren't overlooked. Our goal isn't to replace the professionals already supporting you. It's to be another trusted person in your corner, helping you understand the financial side, ask the right questions, and feel more confident as you move forward.
